JEDDAH: King Salman praised the outcomes of US President Donald Trump’s visit to the Kingdom, describing the results as a historic advancement in strategic and economic relations.
During the weekly Cabinet session held in Jeddah, King Salman expressed gratitude for President Trump’s acceptance of the Kingdom’s invitation and his productive discussions with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which are expected to elevate cooperation between the two nations to an unprecedented level.
The Cabinet underscored the signing of a Strategic Economic Partnership between Saudi Arabia and the United States, alongside major investment agreements exceeding $300 billion.
Additionally, ministers welcomed Washington’s positive response to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s initiatives aimed at lifting sanctions on Syria, expressing hope that easing these sanctions would facilitate reconstruction and promote long-term stability in the war-torn country.
The session also reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s rejection of any forced displacement of the Palestinian people and called for the maintenance of the ceasefire in Gaza.
Furthermore, the session celebrated recent accomplishments by Saudi students at the International Science and Engineering Fair and reviewed progress in the Kingdom’s industrial and humanitarian sectors.
